Miss WV for America Strong

     Cassidy Myers, 24 years old from Webster County, WV, currently resides  in Morgantown, WV. She grew up on a farm in the small town of Camden On  Gauley, where her parents, Buren & Debra Myers, raised her to be  proud of where she’s from.
She graduated cum laude from West Virginia University in 2022 with two  bachelors degrees, Exercise Physiology and Sport & Exercise  Psychology. She plans to further her education by attending WVU's  Sports, Exercise & Performance Psychology PhD program and 2  concurrent master's degrees: Sports, Exercise & Performance  Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Cassidy is a Substance Abuse Counselor at MedMark Treatment Centers  where she strives to make a difference. Focusing on her work with  addiction education, she is the founder of Addiction 101: What’s  Actually Happening where she travels to high schools throughout WV to  educate today’s youth on the risks and effects of substance abuse. She  also collects donations of essential items for the homeless population  she works with to ensure they have resources to utilize throughout all  seasons.
When Cassidy isn’t doing community outreach, you can find her in the  gym, working on a new art project, reading a book, spending time with  her family or playing with her cats: Noodle and Poppi.
Cassidy has been involved in pageantry since she was 4 years old, her  first title being Little Miss Caboose of the Cowen RailRoad Festival.  After years of hard work & dedication within pageantry & the  communities across West Virginia, she can finally say that she  accomplished her goal of becoming a representative of our wild &  wonderful state. They say “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want  to go far, go together.” Cassidy believes she wouldn’t be where she is  today if she didn’t have the love & support from her community,  sponsors, & of course, HER people. This journey has been long, but  it sure was worth it. She is honored to have been crowned Miss West  Virginia for America Strong & has big aspirations for her reign.
